8 Great Books For Busy Writers

School season is upon us! This is a great time for all of us to be looking for ways we can learn and grow. As writers, one way to grow and improve our craft is by reading books for writers.

Writing is often hard. There is a lot to learn.

The good news is, we aren’t alone! Nor are we the first to ever struggle with this thing called writing. Many have gone before us and we can follow in their footsteps. Whether we’re in school or not, we should always be looking for ways to grow in our lives and in our writing. There are always ways we can be advancing and improving!

By taking time to read books about writing we are investing in ourselves and in our writing.

Even a small amount of guidance can go a long way to point us in the right direction. We don’t have to waste time struggling to figure things out on our own when there are wise authors to guide us.

Our time is valuable so let’s make the most of it.

Reading List

Now since we’re busy people who don’t have time to read sub-par books, I’ve created a bit of a reading list here. These are some of the most useful and worthwhile books on writing that I’ve found so far. (I’m also always looking for recommendations so feel free to send me a message or comment below!!)

Whether you find a copy at your local library (InterLibraryLoan is awesome!) or buy a copy to keep, these books are great no matter where you are in the writing process. I hope you find them to be helpful!

If you have any questions or comments about any of these books, please always feel free to shoot me a note to chat further. 🙂
