There are a million and three things vying for our attention these days and it can be overwhelming.
We don’t want to be reading *everything* and frankly we don’t have the time or focus to do very much sometimes.
Which means we want to read only the best!
This is my short list of favorite things to be reading on the internet these days. Please feel free to share some of your favs below!
Newsletters I Like:
These are newsletters I’m always happy to see show up in my inbox, which honestly is very high praise. They’re not all about writing and I find them all valuable in different ways.
Austin Kleon – Author. Artist. Doodler. This newsletter is filled with gems and things to ponder. You can find his books on my resources page.
Cal Newport – This newsletter helps me think and work in new ways.
Nathan Bradford – Writing advice, instruction, and encouragement.
DYI MFA – Write with focus. Read with purpose. Build your community.
Blogs I always find good stuff on:
Fiction University – If you have a writing question, the answer is probably here.
Mythcreants – Funny, smart, and interesting. I always end up with 12 tabs open.
Reedsy – Information for all your writing questions.
Nanowrimo – Any Nanoers out there?! Not only is Nanowrimo a community for writers where you set big goals and write nonstop in November… they also have a blog! You can find lots of personal stories and shared insights here, as well as helpful writing tips.
